The Cabildo of Tenerife, via Municipal Cooperation and Housing, is funding the construction of 188 new social housing projects in towns with populations below 20,000. The island’s programme Activa Suelo (-20), revealed yesterday by the area councillor, Sonia Hernández, serves as the administrative framework chosen to address one of the principal concerns of Tenerife residents: the scarcity of housing. This initial phase has a financial allocation of 1,400,750 euros. The first municipalities to benefit include El Sauzal, Los Silos, El Rosario, Santiago del Teide, Buenavista del Norte, and La Victoria.
