The entrepreneur Ram Bhavnani has made an entry into the BBVA capital during a public takeover bid (OPA) for Sabadell bank. The investor, originally from India but residing in the Canary Islands since the 1960s, has joined the shareholding of the entity through two investment firms that have purchased shares amounting to nearly 2.5 million euros. Bhavnani himself confirmed yesterday the transaction executed by the managers of the Bombay SICAV –which he co-owns with other contributors– through which he acquired shares valued at 1.96 million euros, along with Kalyani, who invested 468,000 euros.
