VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), 22 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco carrying over 150 migrants reached the port of La Restinga this Thursday, situated in the municipality of El Pinar (El Hierro), as reported by sources from Maritime Rescue.
The vessel was spotted a few miles south of the island and was safely escorted to the dock by the Salvamar Adhara.
This marks the second cayuco to arrive in the archipelago on Thursday, following the earlier detection of another boat in Gran Canaria’s waters, which held 69 migrants of sub-Saharan origin and was subsequently transported to the port of Arguineguín.
