The Tegueste City Council has procured a mobile radar to monitor speeding within the local area and enhance the safety of pedestrians and motorists. This innovative device will commence operations immediately to ensure that traffic regulations are adhered to in urban zones.
Mayor Ana Rosa Mena stated that “this investment addresses the pressing need to combat speeding and enhance safety within municipal limits.” “We are responding to a request from numerous residents.”
“They urged us to increase our vigilance regarding infractions occurring on certain streets within the municipality, particularly during specific times,” she added.
The new radar will enable local police officers to position it at locations deemed most critical, given its adaptability, allowing for more effective management of speeding issues and improving road safety throughout Tegueste.
