Last evening, the new king and queen of the celebrations were crowned in La Victoria de Acentejo. Following a gala brimming with talent and emotion, Lucía Suárez Arbelo and Raúl Ángel Martín Díaz were honoured with the titles of Queen and Mister 2024, respectively.
El Pinar Park was elegantly adorned to host an occasion that gathered countless locals and visitors. Performances by local ensembles such as La Vica and the distinctive voice of Héctor Artiles, who paid homage to Marc Anthony, brought the night to a splendid conclusion. Comedian Juanito Panchín entertained the audience with his unique comedic flair.
The anticipation surrounding this event was so immense that tickets completely sold out a mere 48 hours prior, clearly indicating that the people of La Victoria were eager to celebrate.
With this appointment, Lucía and Raúl now take on the role of the new ambassadors for La Victoria de Acentejo, tasked with representing the municipality at various festive events scheduled throughout the year.
The Great Verbenazo
The excitement continues in La Victoria de Acentejo with the overwhelming success of the Great Party, a recent addition to the patron saint festivities that has made a lasting impression. This innovative event is set to occur today from 1:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The Sabrosa and Maquinaria bands had everyone dancing, while DJs Renzo El Selector and Fabrizio Salgado ensured the rhythm continued throughout the afternoon. Furthermore, performances by K-Narias and Tony Tun Tun will complete the evening’s entertainment.
The Gran Verbenazo, featuring free entry with limited capacity continuously adjusted throughout the day, has demonstrated tremendous success and signifies a pivotal change in the programming of future August festivities in La Victoria de Acentejo.
