The Town Hall of the Historic Town of Santiago del Teide has arranged a complimentary camp specifically designed for children aged 3 to 12 from the municipality. The event is scheduled for the week of 2 to 6 September, with the primary aim of addressing the need for families in the municipality to balance work and family life. The goal is to offer a cost-effective and high-quality option to help parents effectively manage their professional and family commitments.
The camp will take place in various educational centres: CEIP Feliciano Hernández García in Santiago del Teide; CEIP José Esquivel in Puerto de Santiago; and CEIP Tamaimo. This diverse location selection aims to cater to different parts of the municipality and make the service easily accessible to families.
As there are a limited number of spots available, early registration is advised. Additionally, a complimentary meal service will be provided for all participating children to ensure they receive proper nutrition during their time at the camp.
TIMETABLE
The camp will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., allowing families a significant timeframe to organize their work commitments without concern for childcare.
To enroll, families interested in participating must register their children by the deadline, which is from yesterday until 26 August. Registration can be completed by filling out a form accessible via the QR code on the informational posters distributed throughout the municipality.
Following the registration period, the organisation responsible for managing and coordinating the camp will reach out to families who have applied. This communication aims to evaluate and determine if applicants meet the necessary criteria to access the service, considering their work, family circumstances, and overall context.
