SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 15th August (EUROPA PRESS) –
Two women, aged 40 and 27, sustained injuries of various degrees in a road accident that took place yesterday on the TF-82 road, near Erjos, in the El Tanque municipality (Tenerife), according to information provided by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
At 10:45 p.m., the 1-1-2 operations room received an alert about a collision between two vehicles at the mentioned location. Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to respond to the incident.
A medical ambulance and a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), personnel from the Tenerife Fire Brigade Consortium, officers from the Traffic Civil Guard and staff from the Road Maintenance Service of the Tenerife Island Council were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firefighters had to intervene to extricate the victims, who were unable to exit the vehicle as the door was deformed due to the impact. The SUC team provided assistance to the two injured women and subsequently transported them to the Hospital del Norte. The 40-year-old woman sustained a moderate clavicle injury, and the other victim experienced mild neck pain. A report was prepared by the Civil Guard.
