Tenerife, 15 Aug (EUROPA PRESS) –
During the Candelaria festival on 15th August, Tenerife Intercity Transport (Titsa), a company of the Tenerife Island Council, will be reinforcing some of its services to aid the movement of pilgrims. This reinforcement was also implemented on 14th August.
All services in Candelaria will operate from Avenida de los Menceyes, near the old station, until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, 15th August. This means that stops from Calle Bélgica to Plaza de Teror will not be in service, as communicated by the transport company in a press release.
In the scheduled adjustment, line 122 will not only follow its regular route between Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Caletillas, and Candelaria but will also have its service enhanced according to passenger demand to ensure smooth mobility on these dates.
As for line 120 (Santa Cruz-Güímar, Candelaria, Puertito de Güímar), they have announced additional departures starting from 5:10 p.m. Furthermore, a special service of line 522 will be activated, operating the La Laguna-Autopista-Candelaria route, available throughout 15th August.
The final departure from Candelaria towards La Laguna will be at 8:30 p.m., following the same route in both directions: La Laguna-Northern Highway TF-5-Linking Highway TF-2, Southern Highway TF-1-Candelaria.
Titsa also mentioned that pilgrims who have used the bus to travel to Candelaria will have free parking in the car parks of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna interchanges until 11:00 p.m. on the 15th by demonstrating a trip on lines 120, 122, and 522. Users are required to visit the central cashier of the car park to validate the use of the aforementioned lines.
In this manner, Titsa aims to cater to the passengers’ needs and provide them with improved services, all while highlighting that the bus is the most suitable option for attending events with large crowds due to its convenience in travel, parking availability, and safety.
