The murga Neither Many nor Few has officially announced their withdrawal from the upcoming Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, marking the end of their journey as a group.
In a statement, Ni Muchos ni Pocas expressed deep regret over the decision, which followed a careful evaluation of the situation. After 25 years, they have unanimously concluded that the time has come to disband. “Although a difficult choice, it was deemed necessary by the entire management team,” they shared.
Reflecting on their experiences, they stated, “We will always cherish the wonderful moments shared during Carnival, gatherings, and events with every member of our murga family, whether directly or indirectly involved. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the dedication, time, sacrifices, and unwavering support of everyone. Together, we have crafted a legacy spanning nearly 25 years for a murga that was founded with passion in 2000.”
Ni Muchos ni Pocas has been awarded three Presentation prizes in the Carnival competitions of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. “We have showcased the essence of the Santa Cruz Carnival to other islands in the archipelago, to various municipalities in the north and south of Tenerife, and even internationally with performances catering to the tourism sector, in hotels and shopping centres. Thank you all for bringing us immense joy.”
