SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, 12 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –

A 52-year-old hiker was rescued by a helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group of the Government of the Canary Islands (GES) after falling and sustaining injuries in the El Cabrito area, located in the municipality of San Sebastián de La Gomera, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of 112 of the Canary Islands.

The incident took place on early Sunday afternoon, prompting the dispatch of a GES helicopter to the scene for the rescue operation and subsequent evacuation of the victim to the helipad at the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Hospital.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) personnel provided medical assistance to the hiker, confirming that she had suffered a lower limb trauma. Consequently, she was transferred by ambulance to the Hospital Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe for further treatment.
