SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 11 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A young man aged 24 sustained severe injuries, while a 21-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries following a head-on collision on Sunday morning on the TF-5 road, passing through the municipality of San Juan de La Rambla (Tenerife).
The Tenerife Fire Department, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112, secured the vehicles involved in the incident and extracted one of the occupants from the car’s cabin.
The injured man sustained significant trauma to his lower limb and was subsequently transported in a medical ambulance to the Canary Islands University Hospital.
The 21-year-old woman experienced moderate chest trauma and was conveyed to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital by a basic life support ambulance.
Simultaneously, the Civil Guard managed traffic control on the road, which was temporarily closed off to enable the emergency team’s intervention, vehicle removal, and to complete the required paperwork.
