The ongoing heatwave that has been affecting Spain over the weekend is expected to persist in the Canary Islands for the upcoming week. As per the predictions by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), temperatures are forecasted to stay above 34 degrees in the Islands on Monday and could even soar to 36 degrees in Gran Canaria.
