The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in collaboration with the Centro-Ifara district and the Mobility department, would like to inform motorists that, starting from Monday the 12th until Wednesday the 14th, only the left lane of Avenida de la Asunción, passing through the Viera y Clavijo Cultural Park, will be in operation. This is due to the installation of a tarpaulin on the perimeter fence of the ongoing construction work in that area, which will occupy the right lane of the road.
The work will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with the left lane always remaining open to ensure a minimum width of 3 metres for traffic. Adequate signage will be put in place to manage traffic flow and ensure the safety of pedestrians and drivers. Emergency vehicles will continue to have access at all times.
Due to these traffic restrictions starting next Monday, the City Council of Santa Cruz advises drivers who usually use this access road to consider alternative routes during this period to avoid congestion. It is also advised to comply with the instructions provided by road signs and security personnel who will be present along the road.
The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife appreciates the understanding and cooperation of road users, acknowledging that these works and restrictions are necessary for the improvement of cultural facilities and road safety in the city.
Furthermore, it is important to note that public transport and service companies have been informed in advance to minimize disruptions to their routes and timetables.
For further information on traffic diversions, please contact the Local Police at 922 606 359 or 922 606 882, or via email at [email protected].
