The Tenerife Island Council to Improve the TF-13 Road Surface
The Tenerife Island Council, under the Roads department, will be conducting works to enhance and renovate the road surface of the TF-13 road (Ronda Road), specifically between kilometre points 4+00 and 6+090 as it traverses The Pits area, spanning the municipalities of La Laguna and Tegueste.
This project, involving an investment exceeding 166,000 Euros, is scheduled to commence this coming Sunday and will run until August 23, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Dámaso Arteaga, the Councillor for Roads, has highlighted that the road’s rehabilitation is deemed a priority project due to the current poor condition of the road surface, necessitating enhanced safety measures for this highly frequented route.
The works will be carried out in multiple phases, necessitating sporadic lane closures and occasional total road closures.
To accommodate this, traffic originating from Tegueste will be redirected at the Las Canteras roundabout towards the TF-12, then continuing on Camino Vueltas Blancas until the roundabout, where the exit towards Camino Las Mercedes (TF-113) should be taken till reaching the Rayo roundabout.
Traffic from La Laguna will follow a similar route, albeit in the opposite direction.
