SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 6th August (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Deputy President of Tenerife Island Council, Lope Afonso, together with the Minister of Sports, Yolanda Moliné, have revealed the contract award for the installation of new foldable seats at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium. The contract has been awarded to GOMOBE CGS for a total of 2,829,388.33 euros.

The new seats will be installed in accordance with the guidelines set by the Spanish Professional Football League, FIFA, and/or UEFA. Moreover, the winning contractor will present a detailed study and layout plan for the seat installation to devise a work schedule that facilitates seat replacement while accommodating football matches, training sessions, and other activities without disrupting the normal operation of the facility.

Deputy President Lope Afonso stated that this initiative “represents a significant stride towards our goal of ensuring the stadium is in top condition as soon as possible.” Yolanda Moliné added that this scheme “is tailored to meet the current standards of LaLiga, while also considering the future requirements and lifespan of the infrastructure.”

Both Afonso and Moliné emphasised the collaborative efforts between the Island Council and Club Deportivo Tenerife, stating that this partnership will fulfil the expectations of the Club and its supporters.

The successful contractor will propose three designs for the stands, aligning with contemporary trends, similar to what other stadiums in the First and Second Division have already implemented. The final design will be mutually agreed upon by the Council and the Club.
