The Centro-Ifara district of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council will host the second session of the family and neighbourhood leisure project “Neighbourhood Nights” on Thursday, August 8. The initiative aims to promote interaction between families and neighbours.
Salamanca Square will be the venue for an afternoon of fun for children and their families, featuring bouncy castles, workshops, face painting, trampolines, and more, from 18:00 to 19:30.
At 20:00, the film “At War with My Grandfather” will be screened, providing a comedic end to the evening. Purificación Dávila, the district councillor, stated that the project’s goal is to encourage outdoor activities in public spaces, especially as the new school year approaches, emphasising the importance of family time.
Dávila sees the “Neighbourhood Nights” as part of a wider effort to offer activities throughout the summer, enhancing the leisure options for all residents. She expressed confidence that these summer nights will be filled with joy and are an excellent opportunity for families to bond and enjoy the neighbourhood.
The “Neighbourhood Nights” programme will conclude on August 22 at the Pisaca courts from 18:00 to 23:00, offering a final chance for the community to come together and celebrate.
