A gentleman has tragically lost his life after a fall into the Barranco Madre del Agua, situated in the municipality of Los Realejos in Tenerife, as reported by 1-1-2 Canarias.
The incident took place on Tuesday at 11:40, following an alert received by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government, reporting the fall of an individual into a ravine.
The victim was reached by rescuers from the GES helicopter, who discovered that he had sustained injuries incompatible with life.
Following the necessary judicial authorization, the deceased’s body was recovered and transported by air to the helipad in La Guancha. It was then handed over to the National Police for the required procedures.
The local police provided assistance and collaborated with the other emergency services.
