SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5th August (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 51-year-old man has been arrested by National Police officers for committing five robberies, attempting eight others in establishments, and carrying out one robbery inside a vehicle.
The investigations began after shopkeepers in the La Cuesta neighbourhood and La Laguna centre areas reported several robberies in their businesses and vehicles.
The suspect, who had a lengthy criminal record, had taken strict security measures to avoid being caught by the police.
After conducting investigations, National Police officers managed to apprehend the suspect as he was attempting to commit another crime in a shopping area.
Upon his arrest, he was taken to the police station and handed over to the relevant judicial authority.
