SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 3 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Development Society, in collaboration with its Job Placement Agency, will be offering ten knowledge capsules throughout the month of August, as announced by the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez. Bermúdez emphasised the importance of utilising the summer period to enhance one’s CV and acquire new skills that can lead to a more competitive profile for job opportunities.
“As we have previously stated, our goal for this year is to ensure that training opportunities do not diminish during the summer months. To achieve this, we have put together a comprehensive schedule of knowledge capsules to be delivered in the coming weeks, allowing citizens the chance to access these courses during the summer,” stated Bermúdez.
Carmen Pérez, the CEO of the Development Society, has outlined that this new programme will enable individuals to upskill throughout August in areas that could facilitate the discovery of new job prospects more easily.
“The objective of the Development Society is for our residents to acquire the most current knowledge available regarding job search processes. Consequently, we have been organising training sessions that blend traditional job search techniques with modern insights incorporating new technologies and communication methods,” added Pérez.
Pérez further mentioned that the programme commenced on Thursday 1st August with the capsule ‘My CV’, designed to equip participants with the necessary tools to enhance their CV and make it appealing to potential employers.
Following this, the training sessions will proceed with ‘Discover IT I’ on August 6, and the accompanying capsule ‘Discover IT II’ on August 7. Subsequently, on Thursday, August 8, the courses ‘How and where to search’ and ‘You have work experience but not the degree: we guide you to get it’ will take place.
The week starting August 12th kicks off with the training session ‘You have an interview; prepare yourself’, where attendees will receive essential guidance on how to approach a job interview. To conclude the week, on August 14th, the training ‘The 7 keys to your payroll and your contract’ will be conducted.
On August 20th, the event ‘Let’s talk about FP?’ will be held, where the available options, entry requirements, and diverse training modalities in FP will be presented. Finally, the knowledge capsule programme for August concludes with ‘LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and your job search’ on the 26th and 27th, offering insight into leveraging social networks for job search processes.
