Title: Young Man Rescued with Signs of Drowning on Diego Hernandez Beach in Tenerife
SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 21-year-old individual was saved with indications of drowning on the shores of Diego Hernández beach in Adeje (Tenerife), as reported by the Canary Islands’ 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Centre.
The incident took place on a Wednesday afternoon at the beach, prompting the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) helicopter of the Canary Islands Government to intervene upon receiving information that a drowning victim had been rescued from the sea.
The GES helicopter promptly retrieved the individual and transported him to the Adeje helipad. Medical personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assessed that the young man displayed moderate signs of drowning. Subsequently, he was taken by ambulance to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
The Tenerife Fire Brigade Consortium members along with local police officers were present at the scene and provided assistance using the available resources.
