**Major Traffic Changes Between Santa Cruz and La Laguna Announced**
The Island Council of Tenerife has revealed upcoming traffic modifications between Santa Cruz and La Laguna, in response to the transfer of Padre Anchieta pedestrian walkway structures.
On the 1st and 4th of August, four new modules will arrive at the port of the capital from Cadiz, to be transported to La Laguna. The assembly will take place during the nighttime from the 5th to the 9th of August.
By Monday, the four structures of the northern ramp connecting La Trinidad Avenue and the pedestrian ring road will be positioned on the island. Each module measures 16 meters in length and weighs 19 tonnes.
Traffic regulations will commence on the 2nd of August, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following day, to facilitate the installation of the structures.
During this period, there will be partial road closures at the Padre Anchieta roundabout, affecting access to TF-24 and Astrofísico Francisco Sánchez street from the north.
Motorists can choose alternative routes via the Lora and Tamayo junction or from the TF-5 towards Santa Cruz.
Following this, the assembly of the four modules of the northern connection ramp of the Padre Anchieta pedestrian ring road will proceed over four consecutive nights starting from the 5th of August.
These works will necessitate closing Trinidad Avenue from the Padre Anchieta roundabout to Pedro Zerolo Street.
The Island Council advises drivers to adhere to guidance from road personnel and signage in the area, as well as to exercise caution at all times.
