Title: Tenerife Island Council Imposes Restrictions to Prevent Forest Fires

The Tenerife Island Council is maintaining level 1 measures to address the risk of forest fires, which includes the ongoing prohibition of lighting fires in recreational and outdoor areas such as barbecues, bonfires, gas stoves, or cookers. Additionally, the use of any machinery or tools that could produce sparks, such as brush cutters, welding equipment, or radial saws, is also not allowed. The use of pyrotechnic materials in high-risk areas is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, smoking is banned in recreational areas, camping sites, trails, viewing points, and other public infrastructures situated in the mountains.
