SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 31 Jul. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Tenerife Fire Brigade Consortium is currently working to put out a fire in the Las Andoriñas Industrial Estate, located in Las Chafiras, near the Llano del Camello park. The fire started at 3:14 p.m. in a ravine area next to a space where used vehicles were parked.
The firefighting operations required the involvement of a Brifor helicopter, along with a combined effort involving seven Tenerife Fire Brigade units (four professional and three volunteer firefighters from Adeje, Guía de Isora, and Güímar). The Brifor helicopter successfully extinguished the flames in the ravine area, which had spread to stubble and cattail seedlings.
The fire, which produced a large column of smoke visible from the TF-1, damaged 28 vehicles stored in the warehouse and four containers. Fortunately, the fire was contained within a block of streets and did not impact any buildings.
By 17:13, the fire was under control, and efforts are underway to fully extinguish it in the coming hours, with firefighting teams still operating in the vicinity.
