**Warning of Swell in Tenerife Coast**
The Island Council of Tenerife has advised various towns in the south of the island to implement precautionary measures due to an upcoming swell episode expected between Tuesday, 30th July and Wednesday, 31st July.
The affected areas will be the western, southern, and eastern coasts, with municipalities like Guía de Isora, Adeje, Arona, San Miguel de Abona, and Granadilla de Abona at higher risk.
Rosa Dávila, the president of the island, has mentioned that reports suggest the swell will hit today, hence she urges the public to be extremely careful near the coastline and adhere to the guidelines provided by the authorities.
The sea condition forecast predicts the arrival of significant swell in the Canary Islands, with Tenerife expecting a rise in swell by the end of the day. Waves of around one metre are expected today, increasing to one and a half metres by tomorrow. This can lead to alterations in sea currents and pose a threat to beach areas, emphasising the need for preventive actions by the local authorities. It is anticipated that the swell will diminish in Tenerife by Thursday, 1st August.
