SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 29th Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, under the Autonomous Organism of Festivals and Recreational Activities, has officially begun the registration process for groups interested in participating in next year’s Carnival competitions, themed ‘Secrets of Africa’. Registration will be accepted until 15th September.
Invitations to join existing carnival groups will also be dispatched, with all required documentation to be submitted by the closing date on September 15th. The registration is open for Adult Murgas, Children’s Murgas, Comparsas, Rondallas, Choreographic Groups, and Musical Groups.
Official Carnival groups will be invited to tender for the artistic contracts for the Carnival 2025 groups through the City Council’s online portal. New and non-established groups can register online via the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council’s electronic portal at the link: https://sede.santacruzdetenerife.es/sede/procedimientos-y-servicios/t649.
Festival Councillor, Javier Caraballero, conveyed his satisfaction, stating, “We have meticulously revised the regulations for the Carnival competitions after extensive consultations with all groups in recent months, appreciating their cooperative approach to modernizing the rules.” Caraballero also emphasized, “We have maintained consistent communication with the groups throughout these weeks, which I believe will facilitate comprehensive improvements.”
The OAFAR will dispatch participation forms and regulations to interested group representatives in the coming days. This documentation will also be accessible at the OAFAR headquarters, located at Calle Antonio Domínguez Alfonso, 7 (La Noria), from 08:30 to 13:30, and on the websites www.carnavaldetenerife.com and www.santacruzdetenerife.es.
