The annual celebration of the ‘Monday of Carmen’ will take place at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Carmen in Los Realejos on July 29. This event is marked by a solemn Eucharistic ceremony, where the town mayor, Adolfo González, will perform the symbolic gesture of presenting the baton of command of Realejos to the individual who has held the honorary and perpetual title of mayor since 1985.
