SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 28 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 52-year-old individual tragically lost their life in a motorbike crash that took place today, Sunday, at kilometre 42 of the TF-42 highway, in the municipality of Icod de los Vinos (Tenerife), as per details provided by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place around nine in the morning, when the 1-1-2 operations room received a notification about a motorcycle leaving the road, prompting Cecoes to swiftly mobilise essential emergency teams to respond to the scene.
A medicalised ambulance and a medicalised ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), along with officers from the Civil Guard and personnel from the Tenerife Island Council’s Road Service, were dispatched to the location.
Upon the arrival of medical personnel, the motorcyclist was found in cardiorespiratory arrest, leading SUC personnel to initiate basic and advanced resuscitation efforts without success, ultimately confirming the individual’s passing.
Post-accident, the Civil Guard commenced the necessary procedures, and the Road Service team from the Cabildo took charge of road clearance operations.
