A man aged 52 lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Sunday at kilometer 42 of the TF-42 highway in Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife. The information was confirmed by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place at around nine in the morning, with the 1-1-2 operations room receiving an alert about a motorcycle accident off the road. Emergency resources were promptly deployed to the location.
Both a medicalised ambulance and a medicalised ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Civil Guard officers, and staff from the Tenerife Island Council’s Road Service rushed to the scene.
Upon the arrival of medical personnel, the driver was found in cardiorespiratory arrest. Despite efforts by the SUC team to resuscitate the victim, they were unable to save him, and his death was confirmed.
Following the accident, the Civil Guard initiated the necessary procedures, while the Cabildo’s Road Service team took charge of clearing the road.
