SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 27 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The administration of La Palma has announced funding opportunities targeted towards the primary industry to participate in exhibitions and events off the island. Applications for this financial aid to cover such expenses are being accepted until 16th August.
Emphasising the importance of showcasing products from La Palma in other regions, the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Animal Welfare and Food Sovereignty, Alberto Paz, highlighted that this support enables workers to demonstrate the high quality that defines the island’s products.
The councillor stressed the significance of professionals from the primary industry in La Palma having the opportunity to exhibit their work in various locations across the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, or even internationally. This serves as a fundamental promotional method for local products,” he underscored.
This financial assistance aims to promote and highlight agricultural, livestock, and fishing products from La Palma at trade shows and events in the primary sector outside the island. The primary goal is to create business prospects for local production, thereby enhancing marketing opportunities and boosting profitability.
Individuals and businesses participating in exhibitions and events outside the island, focused on the distribution or promotion of local agricultural or fishing products, whether processed or not, are eligible for this subsidy.
Applications can be submitted through the Electronic Office of the Administration of La Palma, here, or in person at the Citizen Service Office of the Island Council of La Palma, at their decentralized offices in Los Llanos de Aridane and San Andrés y Sauces. Additionally, applications can also be made at the Agricultural Extension Agencies in Breña Alta, Los Llanos de Aridane, Puntagorda, and Garafía, or at the Central Office of the Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Service.
