The full assembly of the Tenerife Island Council has given unanimous approval on Friday to commence the initiation of procedures to declare the island’s interest in the Project of Island Interest for the New Tenerife Slaughterhouse.
This approval paves the way for treating this new facility as a project of island significance.
The president of the island, Rosa Dávila, has expressed her satisfaction that “this decision has finally been endorsed, after many administrations” because, she states, “it is extremely crucial for the livestock development of Tenerife and to offer services, concurrently, to other islands.”
