A travel magazine expert in journeys, starts an article by saying, “It could be described as the Spanish Punta Cana thanks to its palm trees, its golden sand, the vegetation surrounding it, and the friendliness of the locals in the nearest village.” In this way, a beach in the Canary Islands is compared to Punta Cana.

The Canary Archipelago has been in the spotlight on numerous occasions for various aspects. Among these are its beaches, often likened to paradise and considered the best in Spain. Here you can read more information on this topic.

Which Canary Island beach is compared to Punta Cana?

Located on the island of Tenerife, Las Teresitas beach is the one that this magazine has compared to Punta Cana. The place is characterized by “crystalline waters, palm trees, and a warm calm sea that allows you to immerse without fear.” This makes it a “tropical paradise.”

They also highlight the great location of the beach, as it is in the town of San Andrés, a municipality of Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife. The town is “located in a wide valley on the southern slope of the Anaga massif, next to the mouth of the Cercado and Las Huertas ravines, it appears as a storybook village that is the perfect end to an intense beach day”, as stated by the Viajar magazine.

About Las Teresitas

Currently, Las Teresitas beach extends along 1.3 kilometres and has a width of 80 metres. One of the aspects that different portals highlight about the place is its safety, perfect for visiting with young children.

Another of the advantages is that it has several beach bars where people enjoying the beach day can buy snacks or drinks. On portals like Tripadvisor, it has a rating of four out of five.
