Police detain four individuals for drug trafficking in a restaurant in southern Tenerife

The Local Police have apprehended four individuals for the illegal sale of drugs within a restaurant situated in Arona, a town located in the southern part of Tenerife.

The accused individuals allegedly exploited the legitimate operations of the restaurant to conduct illicit drug transactions. One of the detainees, with a prior criminal record related to drug trafficking, was overseeing the restaurant’s operations.

The investigation, initiated a year ago, led to the search of the restaurant premises, resulting in the confiscation of nearly 6 kilograms of hashish, 200 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana, 27,000 euros in cash, 910 pounds, a machete, an expandable baton, and a self-defense spray.

The suspects, consisting of four men of Spanish and Moroccan descent, two of whom had previous convictions for drug trafficking, have been presented before the judicial authorities as suspects of drug trafficking offences, with one of them being remanded in custody on the judge’s orders.
