SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police have detained four individuals for the distribution of narcotics within a diner situated in the municipality of Arona, in the southern region of Tenerife.
The suspects purportedly exploited the lawful operations of the diner to unlawfully trade narcotic substances. One of the detainees, who had a prior record for narcotic distribution, was overseeing the diner.
The investigation, instigated a year ago, culminated in a search of the diner. Authorities found nearly 6 kilograms of hashish, 200 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana, 27,000 euros in cash, 910 pounds, a machete, an extendable baton, and a self-defence spray.
The four arrestees, comprising men of Spanish and Moroccan descent, two of whom had previous convictions for drug trafficking, have been presented to the judicial authorities on allegations of drug trafficking, resulting in one of them being remanded in custody by the judge.
