Leading airline Jet2.com and their associated tour operator Jet2holidays have revealed plans to add over 25,000 seats (in both directions) in the Canary Islands for the upcoming winter season, in response to the ever-growing demand from UK customers. This equates to a potential increase of over 13,000 more tourists arriving compared to previous projections.
The British tour operator will be introducing flights to Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria from five of their UK bases: Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester, and Newcastle during the months of February and March 2025. They had also recently announced the commencement of winter flights from their newest base, Bournemouth.

The upcoming winter is set to be “the most ambitious” for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in the Canary Islands, with a total of over 2.25 million seats available in both directions and a peak of 225 weekly flights during key moments of the season.
Steve Heapy, CEO of both companies, expressed that the appeal the Canary Islands hold for their customers “prompted us to once again expand our program in the archipelago.” He added, “We are the leading British tour operator here and we understand very well what these islands mean to our travellers. We are delighted that the upcoming winter will be the most ambitious ever for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in the Canary Islands.”
