SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 19 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Tenerife Island Council is set to assign 1,025,000 euros between 2024 and 2025 for a subsidy programme aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Tenerife’s retail sector by refurbishing premises and upgrading equipment.
In a statement, the Minister for Commerce and Business Assistance, Krysten Martín, elaborates that the goal “is to assist self-employed individuals and micro-enterprises from various economic fields on the island in their efforts to modernise, renovate, and strengthen their businesses, thereby contributing to boosting their competitiveness.”
The deadline to apply for these grants will be open until 23rd July, and interested parties can submit their applications through the online portal of the Cabildo de Tenerife, https://sede.tenerife.es/es/.
This grant programme aims to “support Tenerife’s business fabric in carrying out projects that enhance energy efficiency, improve the appearance of premises, remove architectural barriers, upgrade furniture and outdoor signage,” as stated.
Martín highlights that the funding for this subsidy programme may increase by 320,000 euros, reaching a total of 1,345,000 euros.
The Minister of Commerce and Business Support stresses that “particular emphasis will be placed on projects that aim to revolutionise, modernise, and enrich commercial establishments, intending to ensure that these endeavours contribute to enhancing the consumer experience through strategies that enhance product presentation, provide unique services, enhance the visual appeal of premises, and introduce value-added initiatives that distinguish businesses.”
