The Civil Guard is currently conducting investigations on four individuals for alleged involvement in various crimes related to public health and intellectual property. This action follows 46 inspections at parcel companies in collaboration with the Customs Surveillance Unit and Customs Administrators of the Tax Agency. These efforts are part of the responsibilities of the State Fiscal Guard and are in line with the Police Response Plan against Drug Trafficking and the Illegal Trade through Postal Delivery.
The inspections resulted in the seizure of 160 counterfeit watches from a prestigious luxury brand, 2,685 boxes of illegal medications, 2.5 kilos of hashish, nearly 7 kilos of marijuana, over 10 jars of resin, various cannabis cigarettes, and quantities of cannabis products like cookies and chocolates.

The Civil Guard revealed that the typical method used in these shipments involved emails of foreign origin with no genuine physical or legal sender or recipient. This tactic was employed to complicate the detection of crimes by law enforcement authorities.
However, through extensive investigations by Civil Guard agents specializing in fiscal and border matters, crucial evidence was gathered to identify the suspects in question.
During the initial inspections at a parcel company, agents came across a suspicious package that, upon inspection, was found to contain hermetically sealed bags disguised as sweets. These bags actually contained marijuana buds intended for sale.
