SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 18 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 52-year-old male has sustained moderate injuries in a fire at his dwelling in La Laguna (Tenerife), as reported by the 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of the Canary Islands.
The event took place at 10:29 p.m. on Wednesday in a residence situated on the second level of a building on Osa Menor Street in La Laguna. Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium arrived to rescue the individual from inside his property and proceeded to put out the fire.
Subsequently, the man received assistance from personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) who confirmed that he had suffered moderate smoke inhalation, therefore he was transported by medical ambulance to the Canary Islands University Hospital.
Officers from the Local Police and National Police also appeared at the site of the incident, supported the emergency services involved, and carried out the necessary procedures.
