The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, revealed on Thursday that a meeting will take place next Tuesday at the island corporation with representatives from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Government Delegation, the military, and state security forces to harmonize strategies to “encircle” the arsonists operating on the island, who are responsible for the recent four attempted fires.
In statements to the press, she declared that a “battle against arsonists” has been initiated, cautioning that “they will face consequences,” as an individual suspected of starting fires in Vilaflor has already been apprehended, and a few weeks ago another suspected arsonist in Los Realejos, who has been active for over two decades, was being prosecuted in the Provincial Court.
