Karol G is one of the trending Latin artists. She is a hit wherever one of her performances is scheduled, and her legion of followers worldwide numbers in the millions. Although nothing is confirmed, it is possible that she will be one of the guest stars at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival, as advanced by the ‘Good morning Canarias’ radio program, which ensures that both Tenerife and Gran Canaria have initiated contacts with Karol G’s representatives to have her at the next February (or March) in the city’s flagship celebration.

Public institutions and music promoters in Tenerife are not oblivious to the tremendous success of La Bichota, as the Colombian artist is known, and there have already been several attempts to have the artist perform on the island with one of her shows. Now it is the City Council of Santa Cruz that has made a move with the ambition for the city to host the Latin queen and the date could not be other than during the Carnival.

Thus, taking advantage of this trip opens the possibility that she will also end up performing at the Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, considering the proximity of the dates.

Despite there being no official confirmation and in fact, these types of performances are usually the best-kept secret of the Festivities for each edition of the Carnival, the radio program ensures that the intention is for La Bichota to offer a show at the Carnival and if not in the next one, then in the following.

It is customary for each year to look for a top-notch performance for the carnival celebration. Still memorable is the case of Celia Cruz, who in 1987 managed to place Tenerife in the Guinness Book of World Records for the concert with the most people dancing outdoors, with over 200.000 carnival-goers.

Nearly four decades later, the name has not been replaced, but the support of the public to the concert of Juan Luis Guerra still resonates, which even though did not make it into the popular book, the City Council of Santa Cruz estimated that over 400,000 attendees were at that show in 2019.

Meanwhile, Karol G is currently experiencing one of the sweetest moments of her entire career. This very weekend she will conclude the Mañana será bonito tour in Madrid, a concert that will be broadcast live on YouTube.

During this tour, there was speculation about the possibility of the Colombian also ending up in Tenerife, but the negotiations ultimately did not materialize.
