When the majority of inhabitants were celebrating Spain’s triumph in the Euro Cup, several people were caught up in a knife altercation in the urban area of Adeje.
A young man brandishing a large knife emerged from the entrance of a building on Calle del Castillo, followed by four others who were intent on confronting him.
Both the initial individual, dressed in a black hoodie and white shorts, and at least one of his pursuers were armed with knives. Some of the pursuers urged him to drop the knife, but the other reminded them that it was four against one.
