SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 15 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The lifeless body of a young man was found on Monday in the Masca area of Buenavista del Norte by officers from the Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group (GREIM) of the Civil Guard.
There are strong indications that the body could be that of the young British man Jay Slater, who had been missing for 29 days. It is suspected that he may have died in an accidental fall in the rugged and hard-to-reach area where he was discovered, according to Civil Guard reports.
The Civil Guard has praised the tireless effort and consistent search carried out by their different units, who have been actively looking for the young man daily in the Masca region. Finally, on Monday, GREIM agents, mountain specialists, located the young man’s lifeless body in a highly challenging terrain.
The results of the autopsy are awaited to officially confirm that the death was accidental, as stated by the Civil Guard.
