SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 12th Jul (EUROPA PRESS) –
The latest session of the EBAU exams in July saw a remarkable success rate in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with 71.23% of candidates passing the assessment, which translates to 552 individuals out of a total of 775 test-takers.
Furthermore, 223 candidates were deemed unfit for the exam, while 23 others did not complete it.
These results show a slight improvement compared to the previous year, where the pass rate stood at 62.86%, as outlined by the University of La Laguna in an official statement.
Broken down by islands, in Tenerife, 481 candidates passed the exam out of 684 individuals (70.44%), with 206 failing and 34 not completing the exam; in La Palma, 47 out of 56 candidates succeeded (83.93%), with 9 unsuccessful and one absentee; in La Gomera, 7 out of 11 candidates achieved success (63.64%), while 5 did not pass; and in El Hierro, 8 out of 11 candidates succeeded (72.73%), with the remaining 3 failing.
Looking at the different subject options, only 8 candidates opted for Arts via Music and Performing Arts, with 6 passing and 2 failing, resulting in a pass rate of 75%; in Arts via Plastic Arts, Image and Design, there were 8 successful candidates out of 10 (80%); in Humanities and Social Sciences, 184 candidates succeeded out of 285 (64.56%), with 101 failures; in Sciences and Technologies, the most popular choice, 338 individuals passed out of 439 (76.99%), with 101 failing.
Finally, in the General mode, only 6 out of 19 candidates (31.58%) managed to pass, as summarised by the ULL.
