SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 8 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A heartening rescue effort took place on Sunday as Civil Guard agents located two individuals who had been reported missing, including a ten-year-old boy.
In the first instance, officers from the Tacoronte Main Post successfully located a 50-year-old man, a resident of the municipality, who had been missing since early June.
Following a report of his disappearance filed by a concerned neighbour, who had not seen him in his usual haunts or surroundings, an extensive search and rescue operation was set in motion. The man was eventually found wandering in a disoriented state in a specific area of the municipality of Tacoronte, appearing neglected.
The Civil Guard requested medical assistance and the man was promptly taken to a medical facility for evaluation, as stated in the Civil Guard’s report.
In a separate operation with similar circumstances, Civil Guard agents from the Main Post of Playa de las Américas, upon receiving information about the disappearance of a 10-year-old boy while he was with his family in the coastal area of Playa San Juan (Guía de Isora), swiftly initiated a search and rescue mission with the collaboration of the Local Police and lifeguards.
Thanks to the rapid response and coordinated efforts, the minor was located in the coastal region of Playa San Juan within a few hours. He was found disoriented and was subsequently transported to a medical facility in Alcalá for further assessment.
