The Civil Guard of Puerto de La Luz belonging to the Command of Las Palmas, in coordination with the Organic Unit of Judicial Police of the Command of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, investigated two women and a man last June, all residing in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the alleged commission of repeated theft and membership to a criminal group for stealing clothing and valuable items from various shops in the shopping centres of the island of Gran Canaria.
The events took place on April 27, when the Civil Guard of the Fiscal and Border Section of Puerto de La Luz was conducting a preventive check at one of the vehicle and passenger reception docks at Puerto de la Luz, where they proceeded to identify three people who were about to embark for the island of Tenerife, using a rental vehicle for this purpose.
