The Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey hotel is in full swing this July. High season for tourism, but above all, for the leisure of the Santacruceros, as the city’s most historic hotel opens its doors with unforgettable experiences.
In addition to the Will Corvara photography exhibition, which has already attracted hundreds of visitors over the past few weeks and will remain until the end of the year, two other noteworthy activities are now being added, including an open-air cinema session and a retreat led by Aída Artiles, an icon in the yoga world.
A MOVIE EXPERIENCE

The first event will transform the hotel’s gardens. On Thursday, July 18, this urban oasis will literally allow you to experience a movie-like experience, as the classic Grease (Randal Kleiser, 1978) will be screened outdoors. Attendees can enjoy the viewing on the giant screen in the gardens, comfortably lounging on poufs with popcorn machines available. The renowned Bar Iballa will offer a menu of food and drinks to complete one of those summer nights that remain in memory.
Initiatives like this make the Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey a point of reference for the social and cultural life of the Santacruceros, who can attend for free.
A YOGA WEEKEND WITH AÍDA ARTILES
The type of activity gaining prominence, both in the relaxation programs at Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey and in a broader social context, is the yoga retreat taking place on the weekend of July 27th and 28th. This retreat is designed to disconnect from routine and reconnect with the essentials.
Led by the Canarian influencer Aída Artiles, who is one of the leading voices in the Spanish yoga world. A model, founder of Asana & the City, with over a hundred thousand Instagram followers, she specializes in teaching yoga through the jivamukti method, a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice combining several core yoga principles.

For this event, due to its nature, the plan is more exclusive, with a limit of 26 spots to ensure almost personalized attention. This weekend aims to create an intimate environment allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and hotel amenities, while achieving rejuvenating relaxation.
It all kicks off on Saturday morning with a yoga class, followed by a brief break, lunch, a painting workshop and wine session by Art&Muse, and dinner at the renowned Papa Negra restaurant, a staple in island cuisine. Sunday starts early with yoga and meditation, leading to a hearty breakfast at the buffet, a thermal circuit at the spa, and a cooking class in the afternoon, after lunch.
