SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 7 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Today, Sunday, a small boat reached the island of El Hierro on its own, carrying a deceased woman and 151 survivors, as confirmed by sources from 1-1-2, the Red Cross, and Maritime Rescue.
The boat docked at La Restinga port around 01:20 hours without the assistance of the lifeguards from Salvamento Marítimo, based in El Hierro. Several women and children were among its passengers.
The small boat was located south of the municipality of El Pinar, and the individuals on board were provided assistance on the dock by healthcare professionals from the SUC and Primary Care, as well as volunteers from the Red Cross.
Among the individuals on the canoe was the deceased body of a woman, and seven others had to be taken to the Ntra. Sra. de los Reyes Hospital for various conditions.
Yesterday, Saturday, another small boat arrived at the island of El Hierro with another deceased individual, a young man, and 55 survivors. Four men from the group also had to be transported to the hospital for treatment.
