An international conference named Uniscape is scheduled to take place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Specialists from various countries will gather to delve into the relationship between people and landscape through architecture. The event will also include a special homage to renowned poet Pedro Garcia Cabrera and his masterpiece Man in relation to the landscape, a publication that served as the inspiration for the symposium’s title.
Taking place from 8th to 12th July at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Tenerife’s capital, the congress is being organised by Uniscape, the European Network for the Implementation of the European Landscape Convention. Collaborating on this initiative are the Cicop and CajaCanarias foundations, along with the universities of La Laguna and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, all with the common goal of exchanging ideas and proposals regarding the future landscape of Europe.
Headed by Juan Manuel Palerm, a professor in Architectural Projects at the School of Architecture in Las Palmas, the network comprises more than 60 universities devoted to environmental causes.
