SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 4 Jul. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Island Government of Tenerife, through its Department of Highways, has released a tender for the enhancement of the road surface of the TF-344 island route, specifically covering kilometers 3+000 to 8+500 in Los Realejos, San Juan de La Rambla, and La Guancha.
This initiative, outlined by Consultora Canaria de Ingeniería y Medio Ambiente, SL, requires an investment of 1.6 million euros, with funding coming from the island’s Administration under the Multiannual Strategic Framework of Actions for Tenerife’s Development (MEDI) as well as from the Government of the Canary Islands through the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN 2016-2025).
As per the announcement from the Council, the project is expected to be completed within eight months.
Discussing the project, the Roads Councillor, Dámaso Arteaga, stated that the refurbishment is essential due to the extensive daily usage of the road, linking the central areas of Los Realejos, San Juan de la Rambla, and La Guancha.
The Island Government of Tenerife urges drivers to exercise utmost caution once the road surface improvement works commence and to closely follow the guidance provided by the Road Service personnel and signs throughout the construction period.
