Rescued at Playa La Pinta in Adeje, Tenerife, a 53-year-old lady was found in a critical condition with signs of drowning.
The incident took place on Thursday, 4th of July, at 1:40 p.m., when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands was alerted about the rescue operation carried out by lifeguards due to a lady experiencing cardiorespiratory arrest and symptoms of drowning.
Upon their arrival, the emergency services personnel from the Canary Islands (SUC) continued the CPR procedures started by the beach surveillance team, successfully stabilising the situation and transporting the individual in a medicalised ambulance to Hospiten Sur.
The local authorities took charge of the subsequent investigation.
