The latest water quality assessments conducted at access point 8 of Las Teresitas beach in Santa Cruz de Tenerife have indicated favourable results, leading to the reopening of the previously closed section and permitting swimming activities.
On Wednesday, the Health Inspection Service and Laboratory of the Tenerife Health Area within the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) communicated the outcome of the recent water analyses, which exhibited normal parameters. This follows the detection of contamination signs by the same service during routine inspections conducted the day before.
The City Council released a statement reiterating that municipal personnel collect water samples regularly and conduct thorough assessments to ensure the beach meets the necessary standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety for bathing activities.
